With the new SMC3 system monitoring board POLYRACK expands its range of system accessories. The SMC3 represents a smart and compact system monitoring for CPCI, VME or VPX board systems. The new system monitoring board is a modified version of the SMC2 system monitoring board and has been significantly improved in terms of functionality and usability. Among others, it is for example used in VME and CPCI systems, where it intelligently controls the system fans. Thanks to intelligent control algorithms it combines maximum cooling performance with minimum noise. The SMC3 has a wide operating voltage range of 5 to 36VDC and five digital inputs and outputs (open collector). A special feature is its ability to monitor and control up to six fans divided into three groups. It is also used to monitor up to eight system voltages and up to eight temperatures, which is particularly essential for use in high-performance systems. To ensure the safety of a system, the system monitoring board can perform an automatic shutdown of the system in case of overtemperature, and the remote control functionality allows the system to be powered up and down via Ethernet. SMC3 is optionally available with an LED-bar or LCD-display to indicate the system status and allows easy commissioning through a smart self-learning mode.Depending on the application and customer requirements, all control and monitoring parameters of the system monitoring board can be adapted. With a size of only 80 x 75mm, it is less than half the size of its predecessor SMC2 and mechanically compatible with its smaller brother SM2.To facilitate commissioning all parameters of the SMC3 can be flexibly adjusted through a small software tool by the user.

RAPP Kunststofftechnik GmbH, a company of the POLYRACK TECH-GROUP, has invested in two additional new multi-component Arburg injection moulding machines to supplement its existing technology and equipment, thus further expanding its capacities and capabilities for 2-component and 3-component product. The machines are equipped with suitable handling systems to enable automated component removal. The first orders from these machines are scheduled to be served before end of June. "Thanks to the latest injection moulding machine technology in the multi-component sector, we can continue to implement new impulses and ideas for our customers," says Jörg Rapp, head of tool-making and plant engineering, emphasising the importance of the investment in the machinery. The 2K and 3K machines are mainly used to produce parts with high quality demands on the components. The advantage of this is that the product can be manufactured in only one injection moulding process. There are always between two or three injection processes carried out simultaneously, resulting in maximum efficiency and consistent quality. Another special feature of the multi-component machines is the integrated and system monitored mould and hot runner temperature control. The latest generation of servo-controlled motors for the rotational movement and the pumps of the machine ensure optimum energy efficiency in each case. The manufactured plastic parts are subsequently further processed with surface finishing (e.g. screen and pad printing, laser inscription) depending on the customer´s requirements and are often used as piece parts in module assemblies for various customer applications and different industries.
The new POLYRACK brochures give basic information about the POLYRACK TECH-GROUP: products, technologies and services.
They also give you ideas for product realizations in the different kinds of markets and industrieswe supply.

Straubenhardt, 17. September 2019 – The internationally operating family-owned POLYRACK TECH-GROUP and supplier of high quality system solutions took over the company Metalle in Form GmbH (Karlsruhe) on 12. September 2019 by a Share Deal.
Metalle in Form employs approx. 30 people and offers a range of services including the support of engineering tasks, sheet metal processing, unit assembly as well as contract manufacturing of individual parts and items made to drawing, modules and functional units for sophisticated equipment. “The portfolio of Metalle in Form is a perfect fit for the POLYRACK Group. We can increase our capacity on short term with the transfer of their know-how and CNC operations, reduce the reaction times and realise projects even faster”, explains Andreas Rapp, CEO and owner of the POLYRACK TECH-GROUP.
„All positions are maintained at the location in Karlsruhe. We will stay a reliable partner for all employees and particularly the customers of Metalle in Form in the future – exactly the way customers and employees of POLYRACK already know it”, adds Horst Rapp, CEO, owner and founder of the POLYRACK TECH-GROUP.
The present organisation of Metalle in Form Geräteteile GmbH will remain and it will be listed as a subsidiary of POLYRACK Electronic-Aufbausysteme GmbH under the existing name. The group of companies include the RAPP Kunststofftechnik GmbH, RAPP Oberflächenbearbeitung GmbH as well as the subsidiaries in Belgium, China, Switzerland and the United States of America.
Andreas Rapp, CEO and owner of the POLYRACK TECH-GROUP as well as Uwe Günthner, CTO of POLYRACK TECH-GROUP will constitute the General Management of Metalle in Form.
A decisive factor of the aquisition was the geographical proximity of Metalle in Form located in Karlsruhe and the production site in Ettlingen of the Polyrack Group (close by to Karlsruhe). In Ettlingen POLYRACK is also expanding the production floor with approx. 1,500 m2 in space. The aim is to centralize and expand the mechanical production and to homogenize the processes in order to maintain a high technological level for our customers in the future.
Straubenhardt, 11 July 2019 – BSI Group Deutschland GmbH has successfully certified the RAPP Kunststofftechnik GmbH, a company part of the POLYRACK TECH-GROUP, according to IATF 16949:2016. RAPP Kunststofftechnik was able to comply to the even significantly increased demands of the certification through the transition from the former ISO/TS 16949:2009.
The POLYRACK TECH-GROUP transfers complex tasks made of plastics or sheet metal based on a broad technological know-how and diverse production capabilities: this includes and is not limited to high precision connector housings, display frames and other numerous examples already realized.
Benjamin Ribic (Quality Manager) and Maximilian Schober (VP Sales Germany & Marketing) explain: „Our IATF certification shows, that we accept the challenges of the automotive industry and implement the requirements. This gives our customers the security to get the Quality and Reliability they need from POLYRACK concerning products and processes.”
Both companies of the POLYRACK TECH-GROUP, the RAPP Kunststofftechnik and POLYRACK Electronic-Aufbausysteme, also carry the ISO 9001:2008 (Quality) certification. The POLYRACK TECH-GROUP is actively preparing the certification according to ISO 9100 (quality management system for suppliers of the aerospace industry) for 2020. The environmental certification according to DIN EN ISO 14001 is currently undergoing the regular re-certification process for Q4/2019.
