We are hiring a full-time production supervisor.This person will be responsible for production in the final assembly work area. Areas of focus will include direct supervision of the hourly staff, quality,safety, leadership, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will empowerand directly supervise the hourly workforce to accomplish goals and initiativesin a team-based environment. They will take a critical role in executing teamobjectives, driving transformation, and working in collaboration withscheduling and front-end office needs.  Reviewshop production demands and schedule hourly personnel to determine workforcerequirements and capacity constraints. Experience with an ERP system is a plus(preferably SAP).

Responsibilities

• Resolve day-to-day issues to meet production, safety, shipping, and quality goals.
• Execute scheduled work orders to meet customer requirements.
• Responsible for adjusting schedules to ensure completion of orders. Holds the team accountable for completion.
• Oversees production workflows to maintain strict adherence to the production schedule.
• Ensure production staff meets assembly schedules while maintaining safe work practices, and closure of Production Order documentation.
• Collaborates with front-office personnel as needed to make sure customer orders are on time and correct.
• Talent management includes performance evaluations and feedback, merits, goal setting and tracking, employee interaction, coaching, and mentoring to achieve cultural and performance standards.
• Staffing & scheduling include overtime, absenteeism, and vacation.
• Identify training needs, coordinate cross-training opportunities, and support development plans.
• Assist with meeting customer quality expectations, including resolving internal quality issues as well as customer claims, and support with implementing corrective action.
• Supports new processes and production development and implementation.
• Ensures a clean and safe working environment for all employees.
• Ensures safety training is complete, hazardous conditions and risks are eliminated, and safety incidents are reported and investigated as required.
• Willing to supervise first andsupport second shift, including Saturday work from time to time.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

• Minimum experience: 5 years of supervising hourly employees in a production environment (while working within an ERP system) in a multicultural environment.
• Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings & material specifications and should have experience in quality control processes and management.
• Must be able to effectively multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to manage others to achieve required company and plant goals.
• Must be able to coordinate the flow of production and internalsupply chain.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, presentation, and project management skills, while maintaining a strong technical foundation and hands-on mentality.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
